FAQ
What is Sumwhere?
Sumwhere is the mission control for conference week. It aggregates every official panel and every satellite event — brand parties, VIP dinners, invite-only activations, networking receptions — into one searchable, filterable platform. Then it uses AI to help you build a personalized schedule based on your actual goals, and captures everything that happened after the week ends.
What conferences is Sumwhere for?
We're built for the major industry tentpoles — Cannes Lions, CES, SXSW, POSSIBLE, Art Basel, and more. We're rolling out conference by conference through 2026. If there's a specific one you want us to cover, drop your email below and we'll keep you posted.
What's a satellite event?
The official conference agenda is only half the story. Satellite events are everything happening around it — the brand rooftop parties, the invite-only dinners, the agency happy hours, the activations on the beach. These are often where the most valuable conversations happen, and right now they're completely invisible unless you know the right people. Sumwhere maps all of it.
Who is Sumwhere for?
Industry professionals who attend 2–5 major conferences a year and are tired of navigating the week through crowdsourced Google Sheets, email chains, and word of mouth. Media executives, marketers, agency leaders, brand managers, VCs, tech founders — if you've ever shown up to a conference and found out about the dinner you should have been at the next morning, this is for you.
Who is Disco?
Disco is Sumwhere's AI planning assistant — and the most differentiated thing we've built. You tell Disco your goals for the week ("I need to close deals with brand marketers," "prioritize the parties over panels," "find me the most important rooms to be in") and it builds you a personalized itinerary from everything in the directory. During the week you can ask it anything. After the week ends, it becomes your conference memory — ask it who you met, what you attended, and it'll draft your recap post.
Do I need an account?
You'll need an account to save events, use Disco, and access your personal schedule. Signing up takes under a minute.
Is it free?
The beta is free. Mission Control and Vibe Check will always be free. Down the line we'll introduce a premium tier for the deeper planning experience — but we'll always keep the core discovery layer open.
How does Sumwhere get its event data?
We pull from public platforms (Eventbrite, Luma, Partiful, Splash), search the web, monitor social, and accept partner submissions. You don't have to do anything to be listed — but brands who want enhanced visibility, analytics, and featured placement can become a partner.
Is Sumwhere a RSVP app?
No. Sumwhere is the discovery layer. RSVPs still happen through Eventbrite, Luma, Partiful, Splash, or the organizer’s own platform.
How does my event get listed
Most publicly accessible events are already in our directory — we index them automatically. If yours isn't showing up, you can submit it directly from the app. If you're an organizer and want enhanced visibility, featured placement, or analytics on who's clicking through, reach out about becoming a partner. Email us at hello@sumwhere.app.
When does the app launch?
Sumwhere is live in beta right now — it runs in your browser, and works great on your phone. We’re rolling out conference by conference across the summer, starting with Cannes Lions. A native iOS and Android app is on the way; beta users get first access when it lands.
How do I get access?
Just open the app. Signing up takes under a minute — no waitlist, no waiting on an email.
